I met a professor of organic chemistry in the bus. He invited us to a forest trip where there would also be a wild sauna and swimming in a river. We were very enthusiasted about the invitation and joined the trip. First we hiked a couple of kilometres to the place, set up the fire [...]
First basketball match I was able to see was Lietuvos Rytas vs. AEK Athens. Rytas is playing three leagues; Lithuanian league (LKL), Baltic league (BBL) and Uleb Cup. This match was the last of Uleb Cup’s regular season.
We invited friends from the language course to celebrate Maria’s birthday on Sunday. We had a lot of fun! Coctail-cabbage was a success.
On first Saturday we had a trip to old capital of Lithuania, Trakai. 13th of January is important date for Lithuanians. In year 1991 Soviet troops killed 14 unarmed civilians at the tv-tower. Schedule on Erasmus Intensive Language Course (EILC) was intensive, but there was also nice extra activities. We got to know the old buildings of Vilnius University and the old town of Vilnius
